Welcome to the Basecamp Brief! This is your quick JamQuest pit stop: hear what’s happening in Kenya, catch a note from me, and pick up three sparks of inspiration to carry with you into the month.
đź’ Update from Nick: 2025 Was a Record Year

As we look back on 2025, I just want to say thank you. It was our strongest year ever in terms of total donations received—and that’s because of the generosity, belief, and support of this community. Every donation helped create real opportunities for students—both here in the U.S. and in Kenya.
We’re excited about what’s ahead in 2026. If you want to get involved, you can support JamQuest through giving or help a student you know host a fundraiser that makes a real difference in the lives of other kids.
Thanks for being part of this journey. More great things are coming!
🏫 Update from Kenya: Kenya Kids Visit the Theatre

In November, many of our JamQuest students visited the Kenya National Theatre in Nairobi to watch live performances of their school literature books. Seeing the texts performed helped students better understand key themes and characters as they prepare for more advanced academic work.
For many students, this was their first time attending a production at the National Theatre, offering learning and exposure beyond the classroom.
We’re grateful for a Kenya-based team that goes beyond covering school fees by creating experiences that enhance learning in real ways. This is the kind of opportunity your support makes possible.

⚡ 3 Sparks of Inspiration

In honor of the final month of football season, here’s a football-inspired list to inspire your month:
1. Defining Moments Start with One Play
Watch Drew Brees’ inspiring pregame speech to his old college — a reminder that defining moments often start with one small, intentional action.
2. The Power of a Parent’s Belief
Watch Fernando Mendoza’s mom write him a letter before he received the Heisman — a powerful reminder that a parent’s faith and encouragement can shape a child’s confidence and success.
3. Leadership in the Little Things
Watch Mike Vrabel high-fiving each player after the game — sometimes leadership is as simple as showing up for every single person on your team. How can you do this this week?
