To me Russell Wilson is an advocate of giving back to the community and supporting those in need. Even though he doesn’t spend a ton of time in the hospital every week it is his goal to spend one day in the hospital a week. While the families he visits may not be in financial need/nor is he fincacially giving to them but instead he is hoping to give hope and inspiration to the families. Russell’s Mother says he knows how it feels to be in a hospital (Russell’s Father passed away from a long battle with Diabetes in 2010). Russell feels its very important to realize in life everything may not be going well but you can always put a smile on someones face and that in turn can give someone hope and brighten someone’s day. I truly love that because I too went to visit hospitals two times while playing collegiate football and both experiences drastically changed me and they also really inspired and encouraged the children we interacted with. I love this.
