Bend it like Beckham! When ever I think of David Beckham I think of one of the greatest soccer players I’ve ever seen and one of the best scorers in soccer history as well as that saying. But I didn’t know Beckham has been an UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2005. Beckham was honored recently with a humanitarian award for his continual commitment to better improving children lives around the world. David Beckham is truly a hero for me as he was one of the first athletes I started to follow when I was young and even now he continues to be my hero and an inspiration. What makes me love his heart is him saying “I will not stop supporting UNICEF until I know that all children are safe”. That is a true commitment and is so inspiring to see his love for helping others and never wanting to give up on them.
